Pop Art / Abstract painting demo with the Peace And Love stencil

In this video, John Beckley shows you how to create a Pop Art / Abstract painting using the Peace and Love giant stencil as the main subject.

This painting was produced using acrylic paint and spray cans on an 80x80cm canvas.

To create this Pop Art/Abstract painting, John Beckley first created a background with some relief, then used a number of stencils to add as much detail as possible.

Then he used the Peace And Love stencil to protect the area not to be painted, and covered the whole canvas with black paint.

He then used the Peace And Love stencil to keep the coloured area intact and to add new elements such as splashes to add detail in the black. He then added shading using the Peace and Love stencil.
